Ground transport and accommodation provider CMAC Group has launched its first European operation in Greece.
CMAC says the decision to expand into Europe follows increasing demand from existing UK customers for support within Greece.
It comes after the group acquired Cabfind, a UK private hire and executive car supplier network.
CMAC will work with Greece-based airline expert Nick Christohides to service 37 commercial airports in the country. Christohides has 25 years’ experience in ground handling and airport services and will manage CMAC’s operation in Greece.
Christohides commented: “We began working with clients in July and have already moved or accommodated over 1,000 disrupted passengers. From day one, our 24/7 operations centre has worked with airlines and ground handlers to ensure that passengers are cared for and moved safely. We have a large supplier network as well as extensive personal experience in managing airline disruption.”
Peter Slater, COO of CMAC Group, added: “We are really happy to have launched our services into Europe and we are delighted that Nick, with his extensive experience, is running the Greek operation. CMAC has been experiencing a strong period of growth and we hope to expand our services throughout Europe in the very near future.”
