Ground transport company CMAC Group has announced its second Iberian acquisition this month with the takeover of Portugal’s Here & Dare.
The company, which confirmed the purchase of Barcelona-based Suntransfers earlier in September, says the deal will further its strategy to build a stronger international presence and increase the Lancashire-based company’s workforce to more than 270 staff.
The deal will extend CMAC’s reach to more than 750 airports and travel gateways worldwide.
“We are pleased to welcome Here & Dare’s highly experienced and passionate team of transport, destination management and accommodation specialists into the wider CMAC Group after working together as strategic partners over the past year to successfully service mutual clients,” said Peter Slater, CEO of CMAC Group.
“We firmly believe that employing experienced people is the key to successfully managing complex and demanding transportation and accommodation requirements, such as mass disruption. This cannot be fulfilled solely with a tech-only solution.”
Established in 2007, CMAC reported a 45 per cent increase in revenue last year and transported more than two million travellers.
