Ground transport company CMAC Group has boosted its UK sales force and brought in industry heavyweight Paul Wait as a consultant.
The sales team has been expanded with Ivor Hughes and Joseph Guy who are joining as business development managers to speed up CMAC’s growth in the UK, Europe and beyond.
Hughes joins from SABS Travel Technologies while Guy brings experience from the ground transport segment after roles at Llew Jones International and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Meanwhile, Siobhan Ferguson has joined as account manager to support the development of its commercial partnerships channel.
The expanded sales team will be led by Leanne Riley who became head of corporate sales in December last year.
Wait will help CMAC’s global expansion strategy which seeks to bring more airlines and corporate customers to the platform for their transport and accommodation requirements globally. He previously held senior roles at American Express, Virgin Atlantic and Southall Travel.
Peter Slater, CMAC Group CEO, said: “The new agents are joining CMAC Group at an exciting time following a company rebrand, new partnerships and innovative product launches. Their skills and experience will not only help us to maintain our position as the leading managed ground transport specialists, but also help us to capitalise on these solid foundations and grow the business nationally and globally.”
CMAC is also recruiting in Spain to help manage existing demand and boost the company’s global presence.
